Hi! I’m Shelly Herrington, one of the Nurse Practitioners at Rock County Clinic and Hospital. I’ve been working in Bassett at least part time for 20 years and worked here as a nurse before that. Fun fact – I was actually born in this hospital!
I received my MSN and certification as a Women’s Health Nurse Practitioner in 2004, and a Post-Master’s Certificate and certification as a Family Nurse Practitioner in 2005. Both degrees were from University of Nebraska Medical Center.
When I’m not working, you can find me at the family ranch southeast of Bassett, or more likely, at a rodeo cheering on one of my 4 children.
Rural medicine is a literal lifeline for small communities, both in providing healthcare for you and your family, but also by providing jobs to many individuals in the area. We are very fortunate to have such a wonderful facility here in Rock County.
