Employee Benefit Summary

  • Wages – Each employee is paid a base wage per hour.  Time and a half is applied for any hours over 40 hours in one week.  Double time is applied for any of the 6 holidays that are worked and recognized by Rock County Hospital.  Shift diff. and weekend diff. may apply. 
  • Paid Time off (PTO) (vacation) – PTO accrues based on hours worked and length of service.  Can take by hour as needed or by day.  PTO is subject to department approval.
  • Sick Time – Sick time accrues based on hours worked.  May apply to sickness of self, children or spouse.  Applicable for any time the employee was scheduled to work. 
  • Holiday Pay – Full time employees shall be paid 8 hours, base wage, for each holiday after 90 days probationary period.  We recognize 6 holidays-New Year’s Day, Memorial Day, 4th of July, Labor Day, Thanksgiving and Christmas.   Any time worked during a holiday period is paid at double time. 
  • Bereavement Leave – Up to 24 hours will be paid for death of an immediate family member of an employee for any shifts the employee is scheduled to work.
  • Birthday Leave – Each employee of the facility shall receive their birthday as a day off with 8 paid hours at the employee’s regular rate of pay.
  • Retirement – 100% vested at date of hire.  After 2-4 years, if full-time employee contributes 3% of gross income we match 3%. After 5-9 years if employee contributes 3% of income we match 3.5% and after 10+ years, if employee contributes 3% of income we match 4%.
  • Student loan assistance – Eligible after 1 year of employment.  Payment based on need.
  • Tuition assistance for current employees who are also currently enrolled students. 
  • Generous continuing education reimbursement for attending out-of-facility meetings. 
  • Aflac, dental and vision plans available.  Also available are flex plan and deposits into Christmas club and HSA accounts.
  • Life insurance provided as well as employee is able to purchase additional for self, spouse and children. 
  • Health Insurance – We pay 90% of individual plan with Blue Cross and Blue Shield.  We pay 75% of family plans.  These percentages are based on the lowest cost plan available. 
  • Sign on bonus – $4000 paid over 2 years.
